The remarkable path of the Young Peacekeeper, Etienne Déclais

In October the 26th 2020, a presentation of the combatant Cross and a ceremony to pay a tribute to Djamel Bensaidane dead for France in Lebanon in the Drakkar attack and buried in the national necropolis in Douai took place.

Our Young Peacekeeper, Etienne Déclais participated to the ceremony as the FNAME-OPEX standard-bearer. The lieutenant colonel Richard Thouant, general staff officer representing the military Governor of Lyon has decorated twelve external operations veterans with families and 18 cadets of the Republic attending the ceremony.

It was unprecedented for the young Etienne Déclais, who joined the 1st regiment of spahis in Valence on the 5th of January 2021 with the presence of the president of the SPIA/AISP Laurent Attar-Bayrou.
