The FNAME-OPEX has been organizing for 29 years an operation called “one package for one French Soldier” to support soldier in external operations serving far from their home. This year, at the end of January 2021, fiteen or so volunteers have participated in creating these packages. Among them, 4 Young Peacekeepers, two war orphans, Maeva and Quentin, the mayor of the CME of Craponne (a young elected), Adèle Taufour the daughter of an external operation veteran, Anais, and a four-legged special guest.
At the end of the day, 700 packages with local products, postcards and drawing have been made. We also thank the Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes for having financed 550 packages. It has been a moment of sharing between younger and older people, and a moment full of emotions because external operations veterans that have received packages have insisted on the importance of these actions to maintain the bond between the Army and the Nation.
